The piano. I never got to learn how to play it, but I married a pianist! I know how to dust a piano.

What a beautiful collection! I was a camp counselor for many years, so of course my favorite instrument is the guitar. Lots of campfire memories! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

My favorite instrument is the violin. I started learning to play in the 4th grade. My Jr. & Sr. High School orchestra teacher inspired me to major in music education. I also play viola and hand bells, percussion and a little keyboard. I still have the first collection of this fabric in my stash.

HI, oh I loved to play the Piano! My mom inspired me as she played too! We’d sit together on that long bench and she would encourage me through my lessons! Thank You for a neat Giveaway!

The only instrument I ever played was a organ. I had taken piano lessons because my grandma inherited an organ so someone had to learn to play it, so that was me. I took a semester of piano at the community college and that was enough to satisfy my grandma 😊unfortunately, I was terrible at it. So before too long, I was off the hook.

I started taking piano lessons in the 3rd grade because my mom was the church pianist and I was expected to take her place when she retired. That didn’t happen by the way. I started playing the trumpet in 5th grade because I did better at blowing on a pop bottle than on the flute that I had hoped to be able to play. Absolutely LOVED playing the trumpet and did so on into college. I wanted to be a band director but that didn’t happen either.

Our youngest daughter graduated this past May with her BA degree in music performance. She’s a harpist. I love hearing her play! Even when she hits a wrong note it still sounds beautiful. We had to buy the panel from the first Perfect Pitch group because it actually had a harp on it. I like a lot of instruments, but I have to say that the harp has the most beautiful sound of them all.

Although, I cannot play any instruments, to listen to, my favorite instrument is the acoustic guitar. My nephew is one of those amazing people who taught himself to play the guitar and from there here could just pick up nearly any instrument and play. He has many guitars, a piano, a trumpet, violin, mandolin, harmonica, drum set, etc.. and though he has not taken lessons, he can play them all. He can even hear a song and start playing it. He is a wonderful person and an inspiration.
I would love to win this fabric for him, because I am planning on making him a quilt for his high school graduation in May.

    Thanks!

I was a singer when I was younger, never learned to play an instrument. I have a grandson that can pick up almost any instrument and play it in a very short amount of time. mtmom57@gmail.com

I grew up playing the flute and my sisters played the piano and guitar.
I never thought I’d say this, but my favorite instrument is the violin. The first time I saw my daughter pick one up in 3rd grade – the smile on her face as she bowed her first notes- I fell in love. Today, she is first violinist and concert master of her high school chamber orchestra.
I hope to do with my quilting what my she does with her violin: make something beautiful.
