(Print the template on paper, but make sure in your printer setup the print does not adjust the size. Cut the shape out with ‘paper’ scissors along the dotted line. Then, lay the template on top of the fabric, and use your acrylic ruler to cut the shape out. Place the 1/4″ line on your ruler to the solid line on the template, this will give you an accurate cut, then if you were to line the ruler edge to the dotted line. Don’t lift your ruler until all sides are cut, simply rotate the ruler.)

Fox and Friends by Lynette Anderson

fox and friends

Starring the sly Mr. Fox and the crows watchfully residing over the pumpkin patch, Fox & Friends features a delightful mix of Lynette’s favorite fall imagery. The appliqué is framed by scrappy log cabin blocks and finished with a simple scrappy outer border. The quilt finishes at 52 by 56 inches. RJR is offering laser-cut kits on Fox & Friends. Make sure to ask for them at your local, independent Quilt Store. The fabrics are from Lynette’s recent fabric line, Spiced Pumpkin.

Lynette used a charcoal embroidery floss for the blanket stitch throughout the project, but you can match the threads to the appliqué colors, as well.

All appliqué elements come laser-cut and pre-fused on Soft Fuse Premium, making the appliqué come together in a snap. The log cabins, background, outer border and binding come as running yardage. Each kit includes 1 pattern. Additional patterns can be purchased from Lynette Anderson Designs.
